Mohamed Jbali is a Tunisian actor who appeared in films in his home country before finding fame in a less likely place: the popular American reality series 90 Day Fiance. Since appearing on the show’s second season back in 2014, Jbali has appeared in a further four spin-offs of the show, including Happily Ever After?, The 90 Day Diaries, Pillow Talk, and The Single Life. He and his former wife Danielle Jbali (nee Mullins) remain one of the show’s most talked-about couples, with articles still being written about them in 2021. How many reality stars can say that?
Jbali hails from Tunis. He’d appeared in a couple of shows during the early 2000s, but he found a much bigger audience when he and his American fiancé Danielle appeared on 90 Day Fiance, a show that follows engaged couples in long-distance relationships as one partner gets their K-1 Visa, an American visa that allows a couple where one partner is a foreign citizen 90 days to get married in the States. Jbali had met Mullins (15 years his senior) in a chat room, and romance had blossomed. However, things didn’t pan out when it was discovered that neither had been particularly honest with each other about everything from their pasts to their employment status. The marriage soon disintegrated to the point that Mullins was actively trying to get Jbali deported.
Despite such acrimony, the pair have reconciled and Jbali has repeatedly taken to social media to defend his ex-wife from trolls (the pair now have a good, friendly relationship). Jbali has also remained in America and now lives in Texas.
