Keri-Anne Payne, an Olympic silver medalist and two-time World Champion in open water swimming, now engages in swim coaching and entrepreneurship following a distinguished competitive career. After winning the 400m freestyle at the 2004 European Short Course Championships, Keri-Anne Payne quickly established her presence in international swimming. Her early career also saw her break the British junior 800-meter freestyle record in 2002. Following the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Payne strategically transitioned into open water swimming, a move that would lead to significant career milestones and cement her status as a world-class athlete.
Payne was recognized for her outstanding achievements with the prestigious FINA Open Water Swimmer of the Year award in both 2009 and 2011. In 2010, she further demonstrated her versatility by winning a bronze medal in the 400m individual medley at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. At the highly anticipated 2012 London Olympics, Payne delivered a strong performance, finishing fourth in the 10-kilometer open water race, missing a medal by a mere 0.4 seconds. After a brief hiatus from the sport in 2014, she made a successful return the following year, qualifying for her third Olympic Games in Rio in 2016, where she finished seventh.

Since her retirement from competitive swimming, Payne has channeled her expertise and passion into swim coaching and entrepreneurship. She co-founded Triscape and Straight-Line Swimming alongside her husband, Olympic swimmer David Carry, initiatives dedicated to advancing swimming techniques and performance for athletes of all levels. Further establishing her entrepreneurial footprint, Payne serves as the CEO of Wild, an innovative water sports community and booking platform, continuing to contribute to the aquatic world through leadership and innovation.
