Kether Donohue

Kether Donohue, a native New Yorker born on October 31, 1985, embarked on her acting career with a foundation in voice roles, lending her talents to English-dubbed Japanese films and animated series from the age of 13. Her early voice acting credits include “Dai-nana kankai hoko: Osaki Midori o sagashite” (1998), “Piano: The Melody of a Young Girl’s Heart” (2002), “The Boy Who Wanted to Be a Bear” (2002), and contributing as Lily on “Kappa Mikey” and Kiki Benjamin on “Mew Mew Power.” Donohue’s education includes studying at the Anthony Meindl Acting Center and graduating from Fordham University in 2008 with a concentration in film, demonstrating an early commitment to various aspects of the entertainment industry.

Transitioning into live-action roles, Donohue appeared on television series such as “Hope & Faith” (ABC 2003-06) and gained more substantial parts like Skuld in “Ah! My Goddess” (2005). She further explored her creative abilities by directing, writing, and starring in her short film “The Babydaddy” (2008), which premiered at the HBO sponsored G.I. Film Festival. Her film work includes roles in “The Bay” (2012) and “Pitch Perfect” (2012), where she played Alice, the a cappella group leader. These performances set the stage for her breakout role.

Donohue achieved critical acclaim for her role as Lindsay Jillian in the FX/FXX series “You’re the Worst,” from 2014 to 2019, which earned her a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2015. Her versatility continued with a key role as Jan in “Grease Live” (2016) and voice acting as Peanut Hamper on “Star Trek: Lower Decks” (2020–2023). She has also appeared in various national commercials for brands such as Gillette, AT&T, Macy’s, and Comcast, showcasing her presence in commercial work alongside her acting career.
