The incredibly gifted Kevin Laroy is a tattoo artist, entertainer, and entrepreneur. He is best known for his appearances on the VH1 reality TV shows Ink Master, and Black Ink Crew. He is also a designer and his August Eighth project is an interpretation of an era that he will forever live, create and dwell in.

Laroy had a troubled upbringing and his family moved around a lot, until they finally settled in Dallas. He developed a passion for art and clothes, and he became obsessed with making them both work for him as a career. After studying fashion design at the Art Institute of Dallas, he took an apprenticeship under friend and local tattoo artist Mani Ramos. He honed his skills and became a brilliant, sought after tattoo artist as well as a clothes designer, eventually setting up his own online shop inspired by his mother, August Eighth. But he shot to fame in 2017 after he became one of thirty contestants on season eight of VH1’s hit reality TV talent show Ink Master, and then a star of season five and six of the channel’s Black Ink Crew.
