Kevin Nickelberry

Kevin Nickelberry is a veteran basketball coach with over 30 years of experience across the ACC, SEC, and Big East, known for his ability to identify and develop talent and achieve program turnarounds. After leading Columbia Union College to three consecutive NAIA Playoff appearances from 1991-1994 as Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Kevin Nickelberry went on to establish a distinguished career in collegiate men’s basketball coaching. His foundational experience included assistant coaching roles at Howard University (1995-1998), Monmouth University (1998-1999), Holy Cross (1999-2001), Charlotte (2001-2003), and Clemson (2003-2006). During this period, he also served as Head Coach for the Libya National Basketball Team from 2009-2010.

Since 2023, Kevin Nickelberry has served as an Assistant Coach at Florida State University. His expertise in recruitment has proven vital, playing a significant role in bringing key talents like Jamir Watkins and other prominent transfer and freshman recruits to the program. This strategic recruitment has directly contributed to a substantial increase in team victories and an ACC Tournament first-round bye for the Seminoles, showcasing his consistent ability to identify, develop, and integrate talent for program success.
