Kimmy Robertson

Kimmy Robertson was born on November 27, 1954, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. She began her career as a ballet dancer. Her unique sense of humor and distinctive high-pitched voice led to her being discovered by an agent. She transitioned into acting, securing her first role in the teen comedy “The Last American Virgin” (1982). Following this, she continued to appear in films such as “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” (1989) and “My Mom’s a Werewolf” (1989), establishing her presence in the acting industry.

Robertson gained significant recognition for her role as Sheriff’s ditsy secretary, Lucy Moran, in the acclaimed television series “Twin Peaks” (1990). The creators, Mark Frost and David Lynch, encouraged her comedic improvisations, which contributed to many memorable moments in the series. Her vocal talents also extended to animated projects, including Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” (1991), where she voiced Featherduster, and later as Alana in “The Little Mermaid” (TV series). Throughout her career, she has consistently taken on diverse roles, including voice acting for series like “Batman: The Animated Series” and “The Simpsons”, and appearing in films such as “Speed 2: Cruise Control” (1997) and “Stuart Little” (1999).

Her career has seen her involved in various animated series, leveraging her unique voice. From 1993 to 1995, she voiced Penny in “2 Stupid Dogs'” Secret Squirrel segments. In 2011, she started playing Penny Wise in the radio series “Adventures in Odyssey”, and since 2019, she has voiced the main role of Ollie in the animated series “Ollie & Scoops”. She reprised her iconic role as Lucy Brennan in “Twin Peaks: The Return” in 2017, demonstrating the enduring appeal of her character and her contribution to the beloved franchise.
