Celtic legend – Kris Commons, is a five time Scottish Premiership winner, two time Scottish Cup winner, and SFWA Footballer of the Year. The player was known for his dynamic dribbling skills that often turned defenders inside out.
Playing as a quick attacking midfielder, Commons started his budding career at Stoke. After four years with the Potters, he signed for Nottingham Forest. For Forest, the maverick midfielder made over 150 appearances, and helped the club to win promotion to the Championship in his final season, leaving the club as a fan favourite. Commons then moved to Derby County, in his final season at the Rams he scored an impressive 13 goals by the mid-season point. When Commons signed for Scottish football institution Celtic, he would go on to become a legend. The Scot helped the club to win a haul of trophies in his time there. He was the top goal scorer in Scotland for the 2013–14 campaign with 32 goals, and that same season won both the PFA Scotland and Scottish Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year awards.
