Kyle Maclachlan

Kyle MacLachlan is an acclaimed actor known for his distinctive work with director David Lynch and his versatile roles across film and television. After graduating with a BFA in drama from the University of Washington in 1982, Kyle MacLachlan made his feature film debut in David Lynch’s ‘Dune’ (1984), marking the beginning of a significant creative partnership. This collaboration deepened with the critically acclaimed film ‘Blue Velvet’ (1986), where MacLachlan starred as Jeffrey Beaumont. He then gained widespread recognition and a Golden Globe Award for his role as the eccentric FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper in Lynch’s iconic television series, ‘Twin Peaks’ (1990–1991), a role he reprised in the prequel film ‘Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me’ (1992).

The acclaimed actor reprised his iconic role as Special Agent Dale Cooper for ‘Twin Peaks: The Return’ (2017) and starred as Isaac Izard in ‘The House with a Clock In Its Walls’ (2018). He also co-starred in ‘Carol’s Second Act’ (2019–2020) and portrayed Franklin D. Roosevelt in ‘Atlantic Crossing’ (2020). Kyle MacLachlan continues his dynamic career with recent roles including Howard Baskin in ‘Joe vs.

Carole’ (2022), Chief Justice Earl Warren in ‘Miranda’s Victim’ (2022), and voiceover roles in ‘Futurama’ (2023–2024). He reprised his voice role as Riley’s dad in ‘Inside Out 2’ (2024) and currently stars as Overseer Hank MacLean in the Amazon series ‘Fallout’ (2024–present), a role he was cast for in 2024. In the same year, he was honored with the prestigious Canal+ Icon Award at Canneseries and was cast in ‘Overcompensating’ (2024). Beyond acting, MacLachlan is a co-founder of the acclaimed wine label ‘Pursued by Bear’ and will launch his interview podcast, ‘What Are We Even Doing?’, in 2025.

He is also set to appear in FX’s ‘The Lowdown’ in 2025.
