Lachie Neale

Lachie Neale is a highly decorated Australian Rules footballer, co-captain of the Brisbane Lions, and a two-time Brownlow Medallist, known for his consistent high performance and leadership on and off the field. After being drafted into the Australian Football League (AFL) by the Fremantle Football Club in 2011, Lachie Neale made his professional debut in the 2012 AFL season. He quickly established himself as a crucial midfielder, playing in the 2013 AFL Grand Final. His dedication to consistent high performance was recognized with his first Doig Medal as Fremantle’s best and fairest player in 2016, followed by a second Doig Medal in 2018, showcasing his consistent impact throughout his tenure with the club.

As co-captain, Neale led the Brisbane Lions to their first Grand Final appearance since 2004, showcasing his pivotal role in the team’s success. Under Neale’s co-captaincy, the Brisbane Lions achieved a significant milestone, securing the AFL Premiership in 2024. His individual excellence was further recognized with an All-Australian team selection and the AFLCA Gary Ayres Award in 2024.
