Chris Ivory

Christopher Lee Ivory, born on March 22, 1988, in Longview, Texas, embarked on his football career excelling in both football and track and field at Longview High School, alongside future NFL players Trent Williams, Malcolm Kelly, and Robert Henson. He continued his college football career at Washington State from 2006 to 2008, where he accumulated 534 rushing yards and four touchdowns across 22 games despite being limited by injuries. He later transferred to Tiffin University, a Division II school, playing five games where he rushed for 223 yards before sustaining a season-ending knee injury.

Ivory’s professional journey began when he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints in 2010. During his rookie season, he delivered a breakout performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with 158 rushing yards, earning him both Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week and FedEx Ground Player of the Week honors. By 2013, he was traded to the New York Jets, where his role expanded, and he became the team’s primary running back by 2014, achieving his first Pro Bowl selection in 2015 after leading the AFC with 1,070 rushing yards. Across his NFL career, Ivory played 108 games, securing 5,237 rushing yards and 29 rushing touchdowns, along with 107 receptions for 948 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns.

Following his tenure with the Jets, Ivory signed a three-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 and later joined the Buffalo Bills in 2018 on a two-year contract. He concluded his professional playing career in 2018, having made significant contributions across four NFL teams. Post-retirement, Ivory has engaged in roles that involve sharing his experiences and insights from his football career, specifically focusing on overcoming challenges and mentoring aspiring athletes.
