About

Born on December 27, 1978, in Ludlow, Mississippi, Dulymus Jenod “Deuce” McAllister embarked on a notable football career beginning at the University of Mississippi. During his college tenure from 1997 to 2000, he set multiple school records, becoming the only player in Ole Miss history to achieve three seasons with over 1,000 all-purpose yards. His collegiate achievements included holding school records for carries, total rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns, points, and 100-yard games. This impressive performance led to his selection by the New Orleans Saints in the first round (23rd overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft.

McAllister spent his entire eight-year professional career (2001-2008) with the New Orleans Saints, establishing himself as a key player. He achieved three consecutive seasons with over 1,000 rushing yards (2002-2004), a franchise first. His breakout 2002 season saw him record 1,388 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, earning him a Pro Bowl selection. In 2003, he recorded a career-high 1,641 rushing yards and also made another Pro Bowl appearance. He played a crucial role in the Saints’ 2006 playoff run, which led to their first NFC Championship game appearance.

After retiring from professional football, McAllister has remained actively involved in the community and sports. He was formally part of the New Orleans Saints’ Super Bowl XLIV championship roster in a ceremonial role. He was inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 2012. Post-retirement, he has developed significant business and charitable interests in Louisiana. He serves as a color analyst for WVUE-TV and a game analyst for the SEC Network, in addition to his duties as a color analyst for WWL Radio. He also operates the Ole Saint restaurant and sports bar chain and serves as an athletic consultant for St. Martin’s Episcopal School.
