American actor Larry Romano is known for his roles in shows such as NYPD Blue and King of Queens, as well as 2010 film The Ascent.
Romano studied acting at university, taking screenwriting and play-wrighting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He went on to star in Off Broadway shows, as well as in Madonna’s music video for Oh Father. A brief pop music career followed, when Romano formed a band DEFICIT and went on to release tracks to local acclaim. By the mid 1990’s he had begun to be a regular fixture on television, starring in popular police drama NYPD Blue and sitcom Public Morals. He also enjoyed film appearances, such as in Donnie Brasco and The Thin Red Line, before landing a role in another sitcom, King of Queens, which he starred in for three years. After 43 episodes Romano left the show to work on series Kristin, landing the role of Aldo Bonnadonna in 2001. Numerous film appearances followed in movies such as Fish Without a Bicycle, Bald, and in 2010 thriller The Ascent.
Most recently Romano has continued to land roles in major films, such as the 2015 film Laugh Killer Laugh and 2019 crime comedy Bad Education. With a long and varied career behind him, he continues to win roles on both the big and the small screen, and has more upcoming projects in the pipeline.
