About

Lauren Elizabeth Jenkins was born on September 16, 1991, in Arlington, Texas, and raised in South Carolina. She started writing songs around the age of eight and at 15, she began touring as an artist, performing in nightclubs with a fake identity document in various states. During her teenage years, she also modeled for brands like Mello Yello and Coca-Cola, and co-hosted the wrestling television show “Jerry Lawler’s Memphis Wrestling.” Her early career also involved acting, working on the set of “Cigarette Girl” (2009) and appearing as a bartender in “N-Secure” (2010) and “Tough Trade” (2010). She moved to New York City to formally study acting at the William Esper Studio and in 2012, she played Trey Campbell in the mystery drama film “Deadline.”

In 2013, Jenkins signed a record deal with Big Machine Records after her producer sent demos to various labels. Her debut extended play (EP), “The Nashville Sessions EP,” was released in 2016, featuring a blend of country, Southern rock, and Americana. She co-wrote four songs on the EP and included covers of Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love” and Mötley Crüe’s “Looks That Kill.” Leading up to her full-length debut, she released “Give Up the Ghost” as her debut single in 2018 and was selected as one of Bobby Bones’ “Class of 2019” artists. In 2019, she released her debut studio album “No Saint,” which she co-wrote, and debuted the accompanying short film “Running out of Road” at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The album charted on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts and received positive reviews for her vocal delivery and storytelling.

After being dropped from Big Machine’s roster in March 2020, Jenkins continued her music career independently. Her first independent release, “Ain’t That Hard,” was unveiled in May 2020. She then released her second EP, “Miles on Me, Part 1,” in July 2021, conceptualized during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jenkins married musician Patrick Davis in October 2022, following a hip replacement surgery earlier that year due to chronic pain from extensive touring. She continues to reside in Nashville, where she focuses on her career as a singer, songwriter, actress, and filmmaker.
