Lilou Ruel is a French freerunner and parkour athlete who has achieved world champion status and become a prominent figure in the sport, known for her record-breaking jumps and stunt work. After securing third place at the 2017 Air Wipp competition in Sweden, Lilou Ruel quickly established herself as a formidable force in the parkour and freerrunning world. Displaying exceptional talent early on, one of her parkour videos gained significant viral attention when she was 11, setting the stage for her competitive career. She later competed in her first Red Bull Art of Motion at 16 in 2019.
Her dedication extended to psychological preparation, working with mental coach Alexandre Lacaze, which culminated in a groundbreaking achievement in May 2022. Ruel became the first woman to successfully complete the legendary 4.5m gap/15m tall ‘Manpower’ jump in Évry, France, a feat that trailblazed new possibilities for female athletes in the sport. That same year, she further added to her accolades with bronze medals at the Parkour World Championships (women’s category) and both the women’s speed and freestyle events at the Parkour World Cup. Beyond her competitive athletic prowess, Ruel has successfully transitioned her unique physical abilities into the entertainment industry.
She has already secured a small role in ‘Cats Eyes’, a forthcoming French live-action show, positioning her as a dynamic talent poised for significant impact across both sports and entertainment.
