Lily Brooks O’Briant

Lily Brooks O’Briant was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 10, 2006. She began performing at age four in local theatre productions. Her early career included a significant role in the US National Tour of the Broadway show “Matilda the Musical” at the age of nine. This theatrical experience provided a foundation for her transition into film and television. In 2015, O’Briant secured her first feature film role as Carly in ‘Shark Lake,’ starring alongside Dolph Lundgren. This early exposure to both stage and screen marked the beginning of her professional acting journey.

Following her work in ‘Matilda’ and ‘Shark Lake,’ O’Briant expanded her acting portfolio with notable roles in television. Her most recognized television roles include Mandy Wight on the Netflix originating series “The Big Show Show,” where she played the daughter of WWE superstar The Big Show, and the lead role of Ella McCaffrey in the Apple TV+ series “Life by Ella” which premiered in 2022. In January 2023, she joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” as Lucy Romalotti, a role she continued through 2024. Her acting career also includes roles in short films like ‘Marina,’ for which she received multiple Best Young Actress awards in 2018, and ‘Presentation,’ which also earned her an honor at the Independent Shorts Awards.

Beyond her acting achievements, O’Briant is also a recording artist, having released 19 original songs since 2023, including her EP “Hopeless Romantic” in September 2024, with another EP “Catch Me if you Can” set for Spring 2025. She also serves as a director and producer, most notably as an executive producer and director for the short film “Sharing the Floor” (2023). O’Briant is actively involved in philanthropy, founding Team Young Hollywood in 2020 to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, raising over $50,000. She also acts as an ambassador for Teen Cancer America and the Endometriosis Foundation of America, showcasing her commitment to various causes.
