Kathie Lee Gifford

Kathie Lee Gifford has established herself as a versatile entertainer, transitioning from a beloved television host to a prolific author, singer, and producer, appealing to a wide range of audiences. After gaining widespread recognition in 1985 as co-host of WABC-TV’s ‘The Morning Show’ alongside Regis Philbin, Kathie Lee Gifford went on to co-host the nationally syndicated ‘Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee,’ which launched in 1988. During her impactful 15-year tenure on the program, she garnered 11 Emmy nominations, solidifying her status as a leading daytime television personality.

She wrote several musicals, including Broadway’s ‘SCANDALOUS,’ which earned a Tony nomination for Best Actress in 2012, and ‘TODAY, the Musical’ in 2014. Her entrepreneurial spirit also led to the launch of GIFFT, a successful wine line produced in collaboration with Scheid Family Vineyards. For her impactful hosting, Gifford received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host in 2019. Her esteemed career was further recognized in 2015 with her induction into the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame.

Following her conclusion on the ‘Today’ show, Gifford intensified her focus on film and production, directing the short film ‘THE GOD WHO SEES’ in 2019. She has since served as a producer for projects such as the feature film ‘Then Came You,’ released in 2020, and a series of ‘Godwink Christmas’ movies. Gifford is also a dedicated humanitarian, recognized with an honorary degree from Marymount University for her support of children’s organizations like Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children, which established Cassidy’s Place and Cody House for children affected by HIV and crack cocaine addiction.
