About

Lindsay Heather Pearce, born on April 30, 1991, in Modesto, California, is an American actress and singer. Adopted into an athletic family, she was discovered to have a talent for singing at a young age despite being deaf for the first six months of her life. Her early exposure to music and theater began at age six, leading to roles in amateur shows by thirteen. Pearce attended Modesto Christian High School and later Valley Charter High School, alongside taking full-time college classes at Modesto Junior College, where she honed her skills in classical voice, Shakespeare, and movement for the stage. Her early regional theater experiences included playing Belle in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (2008), Wendy Darling in ‘Peter Pan’ (2009), and Cinderella in ‘Cinderella’ (2010), all with Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre.

Her career gained significant momentum in 2011 when she participated in ‘The Glee Project,’ a reality show offering a role on ‘Glee.’ Although a runner-up, she secured a two-episode arc as Harmony, an ambitious singer who impressed critics and audiences, appearing in the third-season premiere and later in “Hold On to Sixteen” (2011). Following her television debut, Pearce expanded her stage presence, starring as Snow White in ‘A Snow White Christmas’ (2011), Cathy in ‘The Last Five Years’ (2012), and Wendla Bergman in ‘Spring Awakening’ (2012). She also explored immersive theater, taking on roles in the ‘For the Record’ series (2013-2017) and playing Ivy in ‘Bare: A Pop Opera’ (2013), for which she won BroadwayWorld LA’s “Best Leading Actress in a Musical” award. In 2015, she played Whatshername in the immersive production of ‘American Idiot.’

Pearce achieved a significant career milestone by making her Broadway debut as Elphaba in ‘Wicked’ on February 25, 2020. Despite her initial run being interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, she returned to reopen the show on Broadway in September 2021. After concluding her run in ‘Wicked’ in May 2022, she joined the national tour of ‘Mean Girls’ as Janis Sarkisian and later embarked on another national tour as Fantine in ‘Les Misérables’ in October 2024. Throughout her career, Pearce has also made television appearances on shows such as ‘Drop Dead Diva’ (2013), ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (2014), ‘Mantervention’ (2014), and ‘Recovery Road’ (2016), demonstrating her versatility across different mediums.
