Lisa D’Amato is a popular American fashion model and television personality who stormed into the limelight after placing 6th on the fifth season of America’s Next Top Model, which aired on UPN in 2005 and included fashion icons Tyra Banks and Twiggy on the judging panel. She later returned to the seventeenth season (or ‘cycle’) of the show in 2011 – the ‘All Stars’ edition which aired on The CW – and won the overall season after excelling in the competition and impressing the high-profile judges at the time: Tyra Banks, Nigel Barker and André Leon Talley. During her stint on the All-Star Cycle, D’Amato even developed her own perfume (“Neon”) and performed in a music video for her catchy original song “I Be Like Whoa”.
No stranger to popular culture, D’Amato has also appeared in various other reality shows such as Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, WeTV’s Marriage Boot Camp and an Oxygen Network pilot episode entitled “My Name Is Lisa” alongside Brendan Vaughn and her future husband Adam Friedman. She also featured on the tenth season of ABC’s hit business reality TV series Shark Tank starring Mark Cuban, successfully making a deal with Barbara Corcoran for her one-piece bib product called the ‘Dare-U-Go!’
D’Amato has modelled extensively since turning 18, starring in advertisements for such well-known and prestigious companies as XOXO, Barneys New York and Guess. She’s also travelled around the world on numerous occasions doing runway shows. She has even found time to pursue her love of music throughout her career, releasing two full albums – La Puchinetta (2009) and Flippin’ the Bird (2011) and working alongside the likes of LMFAO, Dirt Nasty and The Beach Boys.
Having amassed a large and loyal following on social media, D’Amato never fails to delight on-screen. She plans to continue her multipronged approach to the entertainment world, modelling and producing music while still expanding on her already successful business exploits.
