Eugenia Silva is a hugely successful Spanish model who has spent 30 years at the top of her profession. She has been the face of the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Oscar de la Rente and has graced countless magazine covers, including Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue. She is massively popular on social media and has over 372,000 followers on Instagram (plus a further 60,000 on Twitter). One of the many ways she gives back is by acting as an ambassador for an NGO called Fundacion Plan International, which works to improve the lives of children in less well-off countries.
Silva was born in Madrid in 1976 and became a model when she was 16, entering the Elite Model Look competition. At the same time, she trained in law, graduating from the Complutense University of Madrid. However, modelling won out as her profession, and she soon moved to New York, becoming the face of Oscar de la Rente and also modelling for the likes of Armani, Dior, Galiano, Jean Paul Gautier, Prada, and a great many others. She has also worked with a veritable who’s-who of great fashion photographers, including David Bailey, Giles Bensimon, Steven Meisel, etc.
Silva’s nous extends beyond modelling and law, and she has helped to launch various businesses in her time, including an online fashion shop, kids modelling agency, and film company. In 2022, she also added acting to her resume, appearing in an episode of the Spanish comedy-drama series, Dias Mejores (Better Days).
