Award-winning actress Lori Alan is best known for playing the long-running role of Pearl Krabs on the popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. The talented star has done leading vocal work for over three decades, and her other notable roles include the Invisible Woman on Fantastic Four, Diane Simmons on Family Guy and The Boss in the video game series Metal Gear. Alan was awarded a Voice Arts Award in 2014 for her outstanding body of work.
Her numerous on-camera credits include Bones, CSI, Law & Order: LA, Desperate Housewives, 90210 and Ray Donovan. Alan is also an accomplished stage actress who has starred in Reefer Madness, Sneaux!, The Pee-wee Herman Show and Lori Alan: The Musical, her own solo show.
Born in Potomac, Maryland, Alan’s acting career began at the age of five when she made her TV debut in a pizza commercial. A debut stage role in Annie Get Your Gun soon followed, and she later became a member of Gotham City Improv based in New York.
With a true talent to create the authentic personality of each character she provides a voice for, Alan has become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand voice actors. In addition to her famous roles on SpongeBob, Family Guy and the Metal Gear series, Alan has leant her voice acting skills to numerous feature films including all of the SpongeBob SquarePants movies, Toy Story 3, Monsters University, WALL-E, Inside Out and Despicable Me 2.
In her spare time Alana works actively in animal welfare and is on the board of animal rescue organisation Pickle Pants Rescue based in LA.
