Louisa Chirico

Louisa Chirico was born on May 16, 1996, in Morristown, New Jersey, and resides in Westchester, New York. She is of Korean descent through her mother. Chirico began her professional tennis career and has since achieved seven singles titles and two doubles titles on the ITF Women’s Circuit. Her play style is characterized by a right-handed grip.

Chirico made her Grand Slam main-draw debut at the 2015 French Open, entering as a wildcard. In May 2016, she advanced to the semifinals of the Madrid Open, demonstrating significant progress in her career. She continued to achieve success, reaching the second round of the 2016 French Open. After some challenges that led to a drop in rankings, Chirico made a notable return to major tournaments in 2022, qualifying for Wimbledon. Her determination was further highlighted by reaching the semifinals of the Swedish Open in both 2023 and 2024, and winning the Charlottesville Open in 2024.
