John Cantwell, known best as Love Connie, is a drag queen and performer. As Love Connie, he has appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race several times as a special guest as well as several game shows and documentaries. He has also had an illustrious acting career, appearing in famous films such as Legally Blonde and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.

Cantwell has been performing in drag since university, finding his character early on and discovering inspiration in the southern-belle stereotype he was used to at home. He brought Love Connie to life as a fitness obsessed queen who loves Jane Fonda. Love Connie soon found herself among the drag community and made connections with some of the biggest names in the industry. Most recently, she was seen on Drag Race for the Draglympics and in her mockumetary, Connie-Wood, which sees Love Connie take on showbiz and stardom.

Now, as well as appearing regularly on TV, Love Connie performs at The Cavern Club in LA on occasion and other clubs in the area, but no doubt, she will be seen on TV for years to come.
