Luis Tavares is a Dutch-Cape Verdean kickboxer and MMA fighter, widely known by his nickname, “The Infamous”. Born on 8 September 1991 in the vibrant city of Rotterdam, Netherlands, Tavares’ combat career has been defined by an unwavering commitment to excellence, coupled with an unrelenting desire to win.

As a young boy growing up in the Netherlands, Luis Tavares was introduced to martial arts by his father, who also happened to be a kickboxer. From a very young age, Tavares displayed exceptional ability and a natural talent for the sport, which prompted his father to enroll him in a kickboxing gym at the age of six. Under the tutelage of renowned coaches and mentors, Tavares honed his skills and developed a style that was both aggressive and technically sound.

Over the years, Tavares has amassed an impressive record of achievement, competing in both kickboxing and MMA events at the highest level. In his kickboxing career, he has fought against the likes of Artem Vakhitov, a four-time GLORY Light Heavyweight World Champion, and heavyweight contender, Jahfarr Wilnis. His record boasts of 27 wins out of 35 bouts, with 14 of those victories coming by way of knockout.

Tavares has also had a successful stint in the MMA arena, winning four of his six bouts via KO/TKO and achieving the rank of number one contender in the ONE Championship light heavyweight division.
