Luke Mitchell

Luke Mitchell was born on April 17, 1985, on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Before pursuing an acting career, Mitchell initially aspired to become a professional tennis player, playing the sport from age five to nineteen. He trained at the Film & Television Studio International in Melbourne, Australia. Mitchell’s acting career began with his first professional role as Chris Knight in the long-running Australian soap opera “Neighbours” (2008). This was followed by a lead role as Will Benjamin in the third season of “H2O: Just Add Water” (2009). He then joined the cast of “Home and Away” as Romeo Smith (2009-2013), a role for which he won the Most Popular New Male Talent Logie Award in 2010.

Mitchell expanded his career into American television, taking on a main role as John Young in The CW’s “The Tomorrow People” (2013-2014). He gained further recognition for his portrayal of Inhuman Lincoln Campbell in Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” (2015-2016), initially a recurring role that was promoted to series regular for its third season. Following this, he joined the cast of NBC’s “Blindspot” as Roman (2016-2020), a role he secured after a personal audition submission. His career continued with prominent roles, including Captain John “Abe” Abraham in “The Code” (2019) and Danny Cooper in “The Republic of Sarah” (2021). Mitchell also appeared as Rowdy King in the film “Without Remorse” (2021) and had recurring roles in “Legacies” (2022) and “Big Sky” (2022-2023). He starred as Russ in the 2023 Hallmark Channel TV movie “A Pinch of Portugal” and currently holds a main role as Dr. Mitch Ripley in “Chicago Med” (2024-present), a role that has expanded into future seasons across the Chicago franchise.
