Lynn Gilmartin was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1984, and her family relocated to Melbourne, Australia in 1986. Her career in television and poker broadcasting began with reporting for PokerNews and PokerStars.tv in 2009, covering events such as the World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour, and Asia Pacific Poker Tour. She first appeared on Australian and UK television in 2012 as the host of the 2012 Aussie Millions Poker Championship. This was followed by a role as sideline reporter for ESPN Australia’s coverage of the 2013 WSOP Asia Pacific and the 2013 Aussie Millions Poker Championship.

In 2013, Gilmartin moved to Los Angeles to become the anchor of the World Poker Tour on Fox Sports, working alongside commentators Mike Sexton and Vincent Van Patten. Concurrently, she served as anchor and co-producer for the World Poker Tour’s high roller series, WPT Alpha8, on FS1. In 2015, Gilmartin won the largest-ever women’s event in European Poker Tour history in Barcelona, Spain. Her acting career commenced in 2018 with the film “Museo,” and she has since appeared in Australian films “How Do You Know Chris?” (2020), “The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee” (2020), and “This Little Love of Mine” (2021). She also had a guest role as Jessica Quince on the Australian soap opera “Neighbours” in 2020.

January 2020 marked a significant milestone as Gilmartin was inducted into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame at Crown Melbourne for her contributions to broadcasting poker over more than a decade. Her career has included diverse roles in television and film, showcasing her versatility as both a presenter and an actress. Additionally, Gilmartin has engaged in philanthropic efforts, acting as an ambassador for the WPT Foundation and Wildlife Warriors, where she organized fundraising for Australian bushfire relief in 2020.
