Maddy Tyers

Maddy Tyers, originally from Melbourne, Australia, has established a diverse career in the performing arts. Her foundational work includes roles in Australian television series such as “Border Protection Squad,” “Neighbours,” “Back In Very Small Business,” and “City Homicide.” A significant early milestone in her career was her supporting lead portrayal as Amanda Tucci in “The Elephant Princess.” This children’s television series, broadcast in over 35 countries and on platforms like Network 10, The Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon, received the 2009 AFI award for Best Children’s Television Drama. In 2019, Maddy Tyers participated in the Channel Nine reality TV series “Lego Masters” alongside her husband, Jimmy, which earned an AACTA award.

Beyond her acting career, Maddy Tyers has ventured into writing, becoming a published author. Her debut children’s picture book, “When Anna Came To Stay,” illustrated by Siobhan Skipworth and published by Interactive Publishing, addresses the topic of eating disorders. This book aims to provide insights into family dynamics surrounding eating disorders and emphasizes family support during the healing process. “When Anna Came To Stay” is available for purchase both in Australia and internationally.

She consistently works on refining her craft, undertaking regular studies at the Howard Fine Acting Studio and Brave. Her training also includes collaborations with dialect coach Anna McCrossin-Owen and acting coach Jeff Seymour.
