Madeleine Mantock is a British actress recognized for her roles in fantasy and drama series, bringing characters to life on television and stage.
Madeleine Mantock was born on May 26, 1990, in Nottingham, England, UK. She attended Arts Educational Schools, London, where she earned a BA in Musical Theatre. Prior to her graduation from drama school, Mantock secured a significant recurring role as Scarlett Conway in the popular British medical drama series “Casualty.” Her tenure on the show spanned 36 episodes from 2011 to 2012, establishing her early in her acting career.
Following her work on “Casualty,” Mantock transitioned to American television, taking on a main character role as Astrid Finch in “The Tomorrow People” (2013–2014). Although this series concluded after one season, she quickly gained further visibility with a role as Julie in the 2014 film “Edge of Tomorrow,” working alongside Tom Cruise. From 2015 to 2017, Mantock held a main role as Veil in the AMC series “Into the Badlands,” a performance that garnered positive feedback.
In 2018, Mantock was cast in the lead role of Macy Vaughn in The CW’s reboot of “Charmed.” This television series, which centered on three sisters discovering they are witches, saw her appear in 59 episodes until her departure in 2021. In 2023, she made her Royal Shakespeare Company debut as Agnes/Anne Hathaway in “Hamnet,” adapted from Maggie O’Farrell’s novel. The production had a sold-out run at the RSC and transferred to the West End later that year, continuing until February 2024.
