Madisyn Shipman is a young American actress who is recognised on ‘Saturday Night Live’ as well as many roles on screen and on stage. She was born in King’s Mountain, North Carolina and is one of four children, with three younger brothers. She was interested in acting from a young age and when she was only five started to work with a talent agency. Since the age of 8 she has also been writing songs and playing the guitar.
Shipman was featured on ‘Saturday Night Live’ as a role player from 2009. She has had parts in ‘Sesame Street’ and acted on stage in the Play ‘Enron’ on Broadway 2010, directed by Rupert Goold. She has also appeared in commercials for well-known brands such as Kleenex and Kodak. She is perhaps most famous for playing the co-starring role of Kenzie Bell with Benjamin Flores Jr. from 2015 in the Nickelodeon sitcom ‘Game Shakers’, which was produced by Dan Schneider. In 2015 she was the voice of Violet Gray in The Peanuts Movie and in the Brat series ‘Red Ruby’ she was Flora.
She has worked hard keeping up with her schooling after being on set and has high hopes for her acting career going forward.
Outside of acting, Shipman has been involved with charity work. She has promoted the ‘No Kid Hungry’ campaign in America and has also worked to support the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation raising funds and awareness.
