Mandy Rennehan is one of Canada’s most celebrated business leaders, best known as the CEO and Founder of retail maintenance company Freshco.ca. Known as the Blue-Collar CEO for her down-to-earth and uncensored style, she is an advocate for women in skilled trades and for challenging perceptions of the construction industry. Rennehan has been named CEO of the Year 2019 by Atlantic Business Magazine, Canada’s Most Admired CEO, and Business Leader of the Year by the Toronto Region Board of Trade.
Rennehan started working in construction aged 18, doing shifts for local contractors and gaining an insight into the industry that captured her entrepreneurial imagination. Just a year later, she founded Freshco.ca, a full-service 24/7 retail facilities firm that now leads the way in retail maintenance. Today the company has divisions across maintenance, projects and reconstruction, and operates throughout Canada and the eastern United States. Freshco.ca counts many of the most famous names in retail amongst its clients, including the likes of Apple, Home Depot, The Gap, Tiffany & Co, and Nike.
Besides her business, Rennehan is a dedicated philanthropist and advocate, and a powerful voice in her community and industry. Projects including collaborating with Barbie on the empowering You Can Be Anything event, and co-founding the Blue Collar Intelligence foundation. Rennehan has been named one of the Top 25 Women of Influence, one of WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, and one of Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEOs.
