Miu Goto

Miu Goto was born on March 2, 2001, in Nagoya, Japan. Her early career saw her quickly rise through the ranks of Japanese softball. A left-handed pitcher, she demonstrated early promise and precision on the mound, becoming a key player for her club team, Toyota Red Terriers. Her skills and consistent performance led to her selection for the Japan women’s national softball team, an indicator of her developing talent and impact within the sport.

Goto achieved significant international recognition early in her career. In 2019, she earned a silver medal at the WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup, showcasing her abilities on a global stage before turning 19. Her career trajectory culminated in her participation in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, where she played a pivotal role in Japan’s gold medal victory. During the Olympic tournament, Goto delivered critical relief pitching performances, notably against Mexico, contributing directly to her team’s success. She continued to achieve success post-Olympics including a silver medal at the 2022 World Games and a gold medal at the 2024 Women’s Softball World Cup.

Her achievements include a Gold medal in Softball at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, a Gold medal at the 2024 Women’s Softball World Cup in Castions di Strada, a Silver medal at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, and a Bronze medal at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu. She also earned a Silver medal at the 2019 U19 Women’s Softball World Cup in Irvine. Her consistent performance and medal record establish her as a prominent figure in international softball, demonstrating sustained excellence.
