Marcin Janusz was born on July 31, 1994, in Nowy Sącz, Poland. He began his professional volleyball career as a setter, a position he continues to play for Asseco Resovia and the Poland national team. His career has been marked by a consistent presence in top-tier European competitions and with prominent Polish clubs.
Throughout his career, Janusz has accumulated significant achievements. He was part of the Poland national team that secured a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and another silver medal at the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship. In club volleyball, he has twice won the CEV Champions League with ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle in 2022 and 2023. Domestically, Janusz has earned multiple Polish Cup and Polish SuperCup titles, and a Polish Championship. His individual accolades include being recognized as the Best Setter in the 2018 Polish Cup and the Most Valuable Player in the 2022 Polish Cup, highlighting his consistent performance and impact on his teams.
Janusz’s club career has seen him play for several notable teams including Skra Bełchatów, AZS Częstochowa, Effector Kielce, Trefl Gdańsk, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, and currently Asseco Resovia. His national team contributions started with youth championships in 2011 and have progressed to senior-level competitions such as the CEV EuroVolley in 2021 and 2023.
