Marco Odermatt is an alpine ski racer recognized for his versatile talent across multiple disciplines, holding numerous World Cup titles and an Olympic Gold Medal. After achieving a notable milestone by winning five gold medals across combined, downhill, super-G, giant slalom, and the team event at the 2018 Junior World Championships in Davos, Marco Odermatt continued to make a significant impact on the alpine skiing circuit. He had previously secured a bronze medal in super-G and a gold in giant slalom at the 2016 Junior World Championships in Sochi. Odermatt made his World Cup debut in March 2016 competing in giant slalom, going on to secure his first World Cup podium placement in March 2019 at Kranjska Gora.

In 2024, Odermatt surpassed Pirmin Zurbriggen to become the most successful male Swiss skier in World Cup history with his 41st victory. He also emulated Ingemar Stenmark by winning four consecutive giant slalom races in Adelboden.
