Mark Boals is a prominent American heavy metal singer and musician, recognized for his powerful and versatile vocals with bands such as Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Ring of Fire, and Royal Hunt. After joining Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force in 1985, Mark Boals made his powerful debut performance at Day on the Green in San Francisco before 80,000 fans. He subsequently recorded on the 1986 album ‘Trilogy,’ which achieved platinum status and sold millions worldwide, solidifying his reputation as a formidable vocalist in the neoclassical metal genre. Boals first gained momentum in 1982, joining Savoy Brown for extensive touring and contributing to an unreleased album.
Demonstrating his stage presence in Las Vegas, Boals began performing in ‘Raiding the Rock Vault’ in 2014 and later joined ‘Tenors of Rock’ in 2019. Also in 2019, he co-founded the band Foundry, releasing their debut ‘Thunder Rolls.’ He further expanded his solo discography with ‘All The Best!’ in 2020. In 2020, Boals released ‘Shining Black’ with the band Shining Black and ‘Dystopia’ with Royal Hunt. The following year, 2021, saw his contribution to ‘A Song of Hope’ with Renaissance Rock Orchestra, alongside multiple Foundry singles: ‘Not This Time,’ ‘Another Way,’ ‘Let You Go,’ and ‘Waiting For You.’ His prolific output continued into 2022 with Shining Black’s ‘Postcards From The End Of The World,’ Ring of Fire’s ‘Genesis,’ and Royal Hunt’s ‘Dystopia Part 2.’ Looking ahead, Boals is set to join the melodic hard rock band Hearts On Fire in 2025 and will contribute to their debut album, ‘Sights & Wonders.’
