Martin Klebba was born on June 23, 1969, in Troy, Michigan, and later graduated from Athens High School. He lives with acromicric dysplasia, which contributes to his height of 4 feet 1 inch. Klebba began his career with early appearances on “The Howard Stern Show” in the 1990s and early 2000s, where he was known as “Marty the Midget.” His career in acting and stunt work showcases his ability to adapt to various roles and demanding physical performances, establishing a consistent presence in Hollywood productions.
Klebba gained substantial recognition for his role as Marty, a dwarf pirate, in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film series, appearing in “The Curse of the Black Pearl” (2003), “Dead Man’s Chest” (2006), “At World’s End” (2007), and “Dead Men Tell No Tales” (2017). His filmography also includes a cameo in Tim Burton’s “Planet of the Apes” (2001) and roles in “Cradle 2 the Grave” (2003) as a fight announcer, “Knee High P.I.” (2003) as Hank Dingo, and as one of the seven dwarfs, Friday, in the television film “Snow White: The Fairest of Them All” (2001).
Beyond acting, Klebba has an extensive career as a stunt performer, contributing to major films such as “Hancock” (2008), “Zombieland” (2009), “Bedtime Stories” (2009), “Evan Almighty” (2007), and “Jurassic World” (2015). In “Jurassic World,” he notably performed motion capture for a Dimorphodon. He is also a producer, with credits including “College Fright Night” (2014) as executive producer and “In the Gray” (2012) as producer. Klebba is involved in philanthropy, running the Coalition for Dwarf Advocacy, a nonprofit foundation that supports individuals with dwarfism.
