Canadian actor and voice actor Matt Hill has enjoyed an extensive career voicing a plethora of beloved cartoon characters. He’s most well-known for portraying the lovable oaf Ed in the iconic animated comedy show Ed, Edd n Eddy, which became one of Cartoon Network’s most successful and longest running original series, attracting an audience of over 31 million children and teenagers across 120 countries. Recognized in the voice acting community for having one of the most youthful and high-profile voices around, Hill is often cast in teenage roles, for example in his portrayal of Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) and the corresponding live-action television series Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation which aired on Fox Kids from 1997 to 1998.
Hill’s other credits include titular character Kevin “Captain N” Keene in Captain N: The Game Master, the two protagonists Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala in the hit anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (as well as its sequel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny) and Ryo Sanada in the anime Ronin Warriors. He also voiced both Artha Penn and Dragon Booster in the Canadian sci-fi animated series Dragon Booster, as well as contributing memorable turns in multiple instalments of the animated Transformer franchise and the pegasus Soarin in the overwhelmingly popular My Little Pony series entitled My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Hill continues to be heavily in demand to lend his voice to a diverse collection of animated series and video games, and has even performed in minor live acting roles such as Bordello of Blood (1996), Shanghai Knights (2003) and indie movie See Grace Fly (2003). He looks forward to exciting new opportunities in all of these spaces.
