Matthew William Lawrence is an actor and singer from the United States who is best known for his appearances in Mrs. Doubtfire and Boy Meets World. Lawrence also starred alongside his real-life brothers Joey and Andrew in the television series Brotherly Love.
Lawrence made his acting debut in the mid-1980s, playing Danny Carrington in Dynasty.
In New York City, he studied acting at HB Studio. Through the early 1990s, he worked as a child actor in a variety of television and feature film roles, including the 1993 Robin Williams comedy Mrs. Doubtfire and the mid-1990s television series Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad. He also had leading parts in Boy Meets World, in which he played Jack Hunter, an In Angels in the Endzone, co-starring with Christopher Lloyd.
Lawrence made his singing debut in 1986, when he and his brother Joey sang at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Lawrence also performed in the 1991 Macy’s Parade. Other musical highlights for Lawrence include two Gimme A Break episodes (Nell’s Secret Admirer; Johnny B. Goode & The Window; Part 1; Rock & Roll Music), two Brotherly Love episodes (A Roman Holiday; Silent Night, Art Attack; Pigeon On Your Car), and his final musical appearance on Boy Meets World (As Time Goes By; This Dame). Lawrence appeared as a guest star on his brother’s ABC Family series Melissa & Joey in 2011. In 2015, he returned to the series Girl Meets World as Jack Hunter, a spin-off/sequel to Boy Meets World.
