Max Abmas

Abmas began his collegiate career at Oral Roberts University in 2019, where he quickly became a regular starter, averaging 14.4 points per game as a freshman and earning Summit League All-Newcomer Team honors in 2020. Abmas’s exceptional performance at Oral Roberts continued from 2019 to 2023, where he was recognized as the Summit League Player of the Year twice, in both 2021 and 2023. He was also a three-time First-team All-Summit League selection from 2021 to 2023 and earned the Summit League tournament MVP title in both 2021 and 2023. His consistent excellence culminated in a Third-team All-American selection by the NABC in 2023, solidifying his status as a dominant force in collegiate basketball.

In 2023, Abmas transferred to the University of Texas for his final collegiate season, where he immediately made an impact by starting all 34 games. He led the team in scoring, assists, and minutes, showcasing his versatility and leadership at a higher level of competition. His academic and athletic prowess was recognized when he was named the Men’s Basketball Academic All-America of the Year in 2024, in addition to being a First-team Academic All-American. He also earned Second-team All-Big 12 and Big 12 All-Newcomer team honors in 2024, further demonstrating his seamless transition and high-level contribution.

Following his decorated collegiate career, Abmas transitioned to professional basketball in 2024. After entering the 2024 NBA draft, he joined the Utah Jazz for the Summer League. He subsequently signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Utah Jazz in September 2024, before joining the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League in October 2024.
