Reality TV star Mendeecees Harris rose to fame on the reality show Love & Hip Hop: New York. The entertainment manager and real estate entrepreneur joined the supporting cast of the show in season three, and shared his engagement to Yandy and the birth of his first child Omere. Mendeecees went on the make 42 appearances on the show even though he was in jail for several seasons. Harris is also hugely popular on social media with over 2 million Instagram followers. He is the owner of Bronx-based Beat Factory Studio and manages a number of New York rappers including Webstar and Vado.
Hailing from Harlem, New York, Harris has been in a relationship with Yandy Smith for over a decade. Harris made his debut in the third season of VH1’s reality show Love & Hip Hop: New York which focusses on the lives of several people involved with hip hop music in the city. The season began chronicling the birth of his son Omere and Harris and Yandy’s engagement, but later in the season Mendeecees faced legal issues and had to turn himself into custody. He continued to appear on the show through phone calls with Yandy in series 4 before returning for season 5. In 2015 the couple were married live on television as part of a VH1 special Love & Hip Hop Live: The Wedding.
More troubles were ahead for the couple when Mendeecees was sentenced to eight years in jail. His lockup was a big storyline on the show and he once again appeared via phone call conversations with his wife during seasons 7, 8 and 9. Now back on the outside and happily reunited with Yandy and his family, his many fans are enjoying seeing the reality star rebuild his life.
