Meryl Hathaway, originally from Rockville, Maryland, developed her career as an actress, writer, director, and improviser. Her early career included appearances in over 30 national commercials, which provided a foundation for her later work in digital content for platforms such as Funny or Die, College Humor, and UCB Comedy. She gained notable recognition for her role as Brittany, Eleanor’s roommate, in Mike Schur’s television series “The Good Place.” Additionally, she portrayed Andie Tate in the HBO series “The Comeback,” working alongside Lisa Kudrow. Hathaway has engaged in live improv and scripted comedy, collaborating with notable performers including Steve Carrell, Shaquille O’Neil, and Mayim Bialik. Her work extends beyond acting to include writing and directing, demonstrating a comprehensive involvement in various aspects of media production.
