Jamie Lee

Jamie Lee transitioned from a successful stand-up comedian to an Emmy-winning writer and producer, known for hit shows like “Ted Lasso” and her insights into modern relationships and weddings. After reaching the semi-finals of NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’ in 2010, Jamie Lee went on to establish herself as a versatile talent across stand-up, writing, and production. Her foundational experiences included serving as a writer’s assistant for notable comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Tom Papa, Jeff Cesario, and Chuck Martin on ‘The Marriage Ref.’ She quickly moved into television writing, securing a position for MTV’s ‘Ridiculousness’ in 2011. Her comedic prowess was further recognized in 2012 when she was selected as a ‘New Face’ at the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, leading to extensive college tours and additional television appearances.

Lee served as a writer for the first season of HBO’s ‘Crashing’ in 2017, later taking on the female lead role in the show’s second season from 2018 to 2019. In 2021, she further broadened her reach by hosting Netflix’s reality TV series ‘The Wedding Coach,’ which offered practical wedding planning advice. A major highlight of Lee’s career is her impactful involvement with the critically acclaimed series ‘Ted Lasso’ (2020–2023), for which she served as a writer across its run and an executive producer from its third season. Her contributions earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2021 and 2022, as well as a Writers Guild of America Award for Television: Comedy Series in 2021.

Most recently, Jamie Lee has been actively engaged in new projects, currently filming ‘Unsettling,’ where she holds triple roles as creator, writer, and executive producer. Her upcoming acting appearances include roles in the feature films ‘Plan B’ (2024) and ‘Beneath the Fold’ (2024), demonstrating her continued versatility across creative disciplines.
