The extraordinary Jamaican athlete Michael O’Hara is a prolific winner in sprinting events. His personal best running times are: 10.19 secs in the 100m, 20.45 secs in the 200m, and 13.49 secs in the 110m hurdles.
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, O’Hara made a name for himself as a student and athlete while at High School, excelling in T&F. In 2013 he won the IAAF World Youth Championships in the 200m event, as well as the Medley relay titles in Donetsk. In the same year he had already taken the ISSA Boys and Girls High School titles in the 100m, 200m, and 110m hurdles, as well as the Jamaican Youth titles in the 100m and the 200m. In 2014 he won bronze in the 200m and the 4 x 100m at the IAAF World Junior T&F Championships in Eugene, two golds in the CARIFTA Games in the 200m and the 4 x 100m, and he won a further two golds in the Jamaican Junior T&F Championships in the 100m and the 200m events. In 2015 he repeated his 2013 feat by winning the ISSA Boys and Girls Championships triple in the 100m, the 200m, and the 100m hurdles.
