Michelle Borth was born in Secaucus, New Jersey, and grew up in New York City. She developed an early interest in performing arts, pursuing gymnastics for 13 years before discovering acting. She furthered her education at Pace University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Performing Arts and Theater History. Early in her career, she appeared in films such as “Silent Warnings” (2003) and “Wonderland” (2003), along with guest roles in television series like “Supernatural” (2007) and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (2008).

Her significant breakthrough came in 2007 with a leading role in HBO’s series “Tell Me You Love Me,” where her performance garnered critical recognition. Borth became widely known for her role as Navy Lieutenant Catherine Rollins on the CBS series “Hawaii Five-0,” joining the cast in 2010 and becoming a fan favorite. She was promoted to a series regular for seasons 3 and 4, appearing in 60 episodes throughout the show’s run, with subsequent guest appearances. She also starred as Major Rebecca Gordon in the Canadian drama “Combat Hospital” in 2011.

In 2019, Borth appeared in New Line Cinema’s “Shazam!,” a DC Comic superhero film, portraying the grown-up superhero version of Mary Bromfield, Mary Marvel. This role marked her entry into the DC Extended Universe. Her filmography also includes the comedy “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy” (2011) and “Teenage Cocktail” (2016). Outside of her acting career, Borth supports various charitable organizations, including The National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and Care Rescue LA, where she focuses on fostering elder dogs.
