Molly-Mae Hague was born on May 26, 1999, in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, and grew up in Hitchin. Her parents both worked as police officers. In her teenage years, Hague participated in beauty pageants, earning the title of Miss Teen Hertfordshire in 2015 and World Teen Supermodel UK in 2016, where she was awarded first runner-up in the international competition. These early experiences provided a foundation for her public presence.
In 2019, Hague gained widespread recognition by entering the fifth series of the ITV2 dating reality television show Love Island on Day 4. She coupled with Tommy Fury, and the pair reached the final, finishing as runners-up. During her time on Love Island, her Instagram following increased significantly, growing from 160,000 to nearly three million. Following her appearance, Hague expanded her media presence by appearing in the spin-off ‘The Boxer & The Ballroom Dancer’ with Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard, and also featured in an episode of ‘Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King.’
Post-Love Island, Hague secured a £500,000 deal with PrettyLittleThing, initially as a brand ambassador, and later transitioning to the role of creative director for the firm in August 2021. In August 2023, she appeared in the Netflix documentary series ‘At Home with the Furys,’ chronicling the lives of Tyson Fury and his family. In January 2025, Amazon Prime Video is set to premiere a new series featuring Hague, titled ‘Molly-Mae: Behind it All’. In September 2025, Hague received the ‘Behind it All’ award at the National Television Awards in the Authored documentary category.
