David Limbaugh

Admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1978, David Limbaugh launched his distinguished career in legal practice, specializing in entertainment, business, and contract law as a partner at The Limbaugh Firm. Early in his legal journey, he taught Business Law at Southeast Missouri State University for two semesters in 1978 and served with the National Guard for six years until 1978. A member of the Missouri Law Review during his legal studies, Limbaugh also committed significantly to public service, serving an eight-year term on the Cape Girardeau City Council and being elected Mayor Pro-Tem for six of those years. His extensive civic contributions extended to serving on the Cape Girardeau Missouri Public Facilities Authority, the Annexation Committee, and the Cape Girardeau City Board of Appeals, in addition to chairing the Cape Girardeau County Constitutional Bi-Centennial Committee.

His significant works also include Jesus on Trial (2014), The Emmaus Code (2015), The True Jesus (2017), and Jesus is Risen (2018). In 2004, he contributed the foreword to Norman Geisler and Frank Turek’s I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist. As a public speaker, he delivers presentations on the Constitution, America’s Christian heritage, and conservative political and cultural topics. Maintaining his prolific output, Limbaugh released Guilty By Reason of Insanity in 2019 and The Resurrected Jesus in 2022.

He remains an active partner at The Limbaugh Firm, where his practice continues to serve entertainment, business, and contract law clients. Committed to professional and community leadership, he has served on the Board of Trustees for Southeast Missouri Hospital since 1993, joining its Executive Committee in 1996. He is also a member of the Missouri Bar Association’s Sports and Entertainment Law Committee and a Disciplinary Hearing Officer for the 32nd Circuit Judicial Ethics Committee.
