David Limbaugh

David Scott Limbaugh was born on December 11, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He pursued higher education at Southeast Missouri State University in 1971 and 1972 before transferring to the University of Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, graduating cum laude. He continued his legal studies at the University of Missouri, receiving his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1978. During his time in law school, he was a member of the Missouri Law Review and also served in the National Guard for six years, from 1972 to 1978. In 1978, he was admitted to the Missouri Bar and commenced his legal practice. He taught Business Law as a night class for two semesters at Southeast Missouri State University during his first year of legal practice.

Limbaugh has been actively involved in public and community service throughout his career. He served an eight-year term on the Cape Girardeau City Council, during which he was elected Mayor Pro-Tem for six years. His civic contributions also include serving on the Cape Girardeau Missouri Public Facilities Authority and the Annexation Committee, as well as being a member of the Cape Girardeau City Board of Appeals. He chaired the Cape Girardeau County Constitutional Bi-Centennial Committee and served on the Board of Directors for the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce during his second city council term. From 1983 to 1989, he was a board member of the Southeast Missouri Arts Council. He is currently a partner at The Limbaugh Firm, where his legal practice focuses on entertainment, business, and contract law. He is also a member of the Cape Girardeau Lions Club, the Cape Girardeau County Bar Association, and the Missouri Bar Association, serving on the Sports and Entertainment Law Committee of the Missouri Bar and as a Disciplinary Hearing Officer for the 32nd Circuit Judicial Ethics Committee. Since 1993, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees for Southeast Missouri Hospital, and since 1996, he has served on its Executive Committee.

Beyond his legal career, Limbaugh is recognized as a nationally syndicated columnist for Creators Syndicate, with his columns also appearing on platforms such as Townhall.com, WorldNetDaily, and Jewish World Review, and The Washington Times. He has authored ten best-selling books, including “Absolute Power, The Legacy Of Corruption In The Clinton-Reno Justice Department,” which spent ten weeks on The New York Times Bestseller List, reaching number two. Other notable works include “Persecution: How Liberals are Waging War Against Christianity,” “Jesus on Trial,” “The Emmaus Code,” “The True Jesus,” and “Jesus is Risen.” He is also a public speaker, delivering presentations on the Constitution, America’s Christian heritage, and conservative political and cultural topics. In 2004, he contributed the foreword to “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist” by Norman Geisler and Frank Turek, where he discussed his journey from skepticism to Christian faith and his interest in Christian apologetics.
