Mona Brorsson

Mona Brorsson, a Swedish biathlete, has achieved Olympic gold and multiple World Championship medals, culminating in a distinguished career. After earning a gold medal at the 2014 European Championships in Nové M?sto in the 10 km pursuit, Mona Brorsson solidified her presence as a leading biathlete on the international stage. Her professional career began with a World Cup debut in 2013, initiating over ten seasons of consistent competition at the sport’s highest level. Throughout this period, Brorsson participated in five World Championships, demonstrating her dedication and elite performance.

Throughout her distinguished career, Brorsson participated in over 200 World Cup events, a testament to her longevity and consistent performance, earning her a coveted ‘200+ World Cups’ badge. Mona Brorsson concluded her professional biathlon career at the close of the 2023/2024 World Cup season, receiving an emotional farewell from her teammates and the global biathlon community. Transitioning from competitive sport, Brorsson was subsequently elected to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) Athlete Council Group 2, for a term spanning 2025-2027. In this new capacity, she will leverage her extensive experience and deep understanding of athletic integrity to contribute to advocacy and governance within international sports.
