Mr. Criminal, born Robert Garcia in 1982, is a Chicano rapper, songwriter, and producer renowned for his gritty storytelling and unwavering authenticity. Raised in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, Mr. Criminal’s music reflects his upbringing, blending tales of street life with introspective reflections on his experiences.

From a young age, Mr. Criminal found solace and expression through music, channeling his raw emotions and life encounters into his art. His debut album, “Criminal Mentality,” released in 2001 under the mentorship of rapper Mr. Capone-E, catapulted him into the spotlight, establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in the hip-hop scene.

Despite grappling with legal troubles, notably a run-in with Arizona law enforcement in 2008, Mr. Criminal remained undeterred, continuing to produce music that resonated with audiences worldwide. Over the years, he collaborated with esteemed artists such as Lil’ Flip and Bizzy Bone, further cementing his influence in the industry.

Beyond music, Mr. Criminal diversified his portfolio, venturing into entrepreneurship with the launch of his GDUP clothing brand and making strides in acting, debuting in Netflix films “Narco Valley” and “Bright.”
