Myra Molloy is a Thai-American singer and actress best known for winning the premier season of Thailand’s Got Talent in 2011 at just 13 years old. She specialises in cross-over classical and Broadway songs.
Molloy was born in Bangkok and from an early age she often visited New York, instantly falling in love with Broadway.
As a result of Molloy’s Thai talent show appearance, The founder of Bangkok Grand Opera stated that he opened his production company based on the growing interest in Western classical music; a direct result of Molloy’s performances.
Since winning the competition, Molloy has performed regularly with the Bangkok Opera and Siam Sinfonietta Orchestra. She regularly sings at major events including The Thai National Film Awards and The Asia-Pacific ICT Awards and regularly at corporate events for major incompanies including Samsung and Rolls Royce.
Molloy’s career continued to soar and 2012 became a pivotal year for the young singer when she landed her first major theatrical role in Reya the Musical a show which sold out every performance.
In 2014 Molloy was placed sixth in Series 1 of ABC’s Rising Star, an international singing competition.
Other notable singing credits include performing the songs and voice of Moana in the Thai version of the Walt Disney film and most recently
she performed as Kim in the Miss Saigon 2018-19 US Tour.
