Najee De-Tiege

Najee De-Tiege was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1989. He was raised by his mother. At the age of 16, he relocated to Hawaii to assist with his father’s family business, “Divine Hawaiian Coffee.” His time in Hawaii fostered a connection with his father, who encouraged him to pursue acting. In 2005, after a year in Hawaii, he returned to Los Angeles to begin acting classes. While attending Fairfax High School, he participated in school plays and local talent shows.

After graduating from Fairfax in 2007, De-Tiege connected with talent manager Kieth Cameron, who facilitated his entry into the acting and modeling industries. This led to various engagements, including commercials, advertising campaigns, and runway fashion shows. In 2009, De-Tiege achieved a significant career milestone when he was cast as the Blue Ranger in the children’s television series “Power Rangers Super Samurai” on Nickelodeon. This role required him to film in New Zealand. Following his work on “Power Rangers Super Samurai,” he leveraged his Blue Ranger persona to support several children’s charities and organizations, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Give Kids The World, and Day of the Child. He continues to live in Los Angeles, California, and maintains his focus on acting.

De-Tiege’s acting credits also include a recurring role as R.J. Garrett, R.J. Garrett-Foster, and R.J. in “The Bay” from 2018 to 2024, appearing in 52 episodes. He played Najee in the 2015 film “Actor for Hire” and lent his voice to the character Kevin in the “Power Rangers Samurai” video game in 2011. His work spans various productions, including “The Haunting of Alexis King” (2023), “Variance” (2021), and “Paranormal Evil” (2017). He has also appeared in television series such as “Good Day Live with Michelle and Kyle” (2023), “yA” (2020), and “Open Relationship” (2019).
