Nakia Burrise

Nakia Burrise has transitioned from being a recognized actress in popular shows like Power Rangers to an established producer and advocate for family-friendly entertainment. After being accepted into UCLA’s prestigious theater department as the only African American female freshman from an audition pool of 50, Nakia Burrise launched her professional acting career with a significant role as Tanya Sloan, the Yellow Power Ranger. She debuted in Power Rangers Zeo in 1996, quickly becoming a recognized face within the popular franchise. Her tenure as the Yellow Power Ranger continued through Power Rangers Turbo, where she appeared in a combined 75 episodes and starred in the 1997 feature film Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie.
