German mixed martial artist Nasrat Haqparast has been a professional fighter since 2012 and currently competes in the lightweight division of the UFC.
As a teenager, Haqparast’s parents encouraged him to take up kickboxing. He decided to join a mixed martial arts class instead, which is where he got his first taste of the sport. This inspired him to become an MMA fighter, competing in numerous local and regional fights during his early career such as We Love MMA, Anatolia Fighting Championship, Ravage Series and Superior FC. After a successful start to his career in which he amassed eight wins in nine fights, Haqparast was snapped up by the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2017 where he has stayed ever since. During his time with the promotion he has emerged as one to watch and a promising young fighter, winning Fight of the Night once and Performance of the Night once for his appearances with the mixed martial arts organisation. He has now competed in 17 professional fights, only recording 4 losses in that time and winning nine of his bouts via knockout.
Haqparast continues to be a consistent and high performing fighter, and has upcoming bouts scheduled as part of UFC Fight Night 202. He now has a growing fanbase around the world with over 320k followers on his Instagram, and he looks set for many more exciting years in the ring.
